During my first travels I tried to capture the physical iconic identity of the cities and places which I visited. At a later stage, on returning to the same places, those iconic images gradually began to blur, and I found myself searching for a different, metaphysical, dimension where space and time turn into emotion, where a collective experience turns into a private one, and the physical and sensual dimension turn into a psychological, metaphoric and spiritual one.

'Serial Landscapes' body of work consists of a series of 9 zones. The zones are physical spaces each divided into 9 moments. The moments unfold yet there is no orientation of space and time, neither there is a linear or chronological story of events. Captured in the moments are traces of inner experience, activity and memory producing autobiographical and subjective depictions.

Each photograph has a dual nature, portraying the physical reality whilst indicating to something that happened outside the time and space of the framed image. Space and time are as seen as inner states and psychological events.
